Bethany and Jon were SUCH troopers braving the extremely icy condition out on Ashley Reservoir for this Christmas Eve engagement shoot. They cuddled up close and just radiated their goofy, silly, and genuine love for each other. Aside from shuffling our feet on the ice the entire time to avoid falling flat on our faces, the weather cooperated and resulted in these beautiful photos. Can't wait for their March wedding!
Dark & Stormy
I met Aaron and Kate this summer to discuss their Hadley wedding happening next October. To get in the mindset of their wedding, we collectively decided on a fall engagement shoot. However, when the date for their session was getting nearer, rain seemed more and more like a possibility. Knowing New England weather (if you don't like it, wait five minutes), I suggested braving the rain possibility and meeting up.
Boy, was I glad that we decided to go for it. With the PERFECT color scheme for their outfits paired against the budding fall colors, this stormy shoot is what a photographer's dreams are made of.
Can't wait for October with these two lovebirds. Enjoy.

A Sunset View
I took Jackie and Anthony out for a wonderful adventure onto the New England Trail in the Pioneer Valley. The weather all day was looking a little doubtful, but the skies opened up just before we reached this beautiful vista. It was a humid struggle to the top, but with jokes and laughs to go around definitely worth it.
Looking forward to their beautiful Spring wedding next year! 215 days to go :)

Lauren & Eric
It was a perfect way to spend a hot Sunday afternoon. Cool and breezy under the shade of the trees, Lauren, Eric, and I set out to an apple orchard tucked behind a Trustees of Reservation property in Western Massachusetts. Ninety minutes, a 1.5 mile hike, and 5 furious cows later, the three of us left with new memories and laughs (I am not kidding about the angry cows).
So, here's to Lauren & Eric's engagement shoot! It made me even more excited than I already am about their June wedding on the beach next year. Only nine months left!
Enjoy.

Enjoy the Small Moments.
Stu and Liz are weeks away from moving, so they wanted to capture some memories of their whole clan at the very first place they called home. After postponing this shoot two other times due to the weather, the third time was the charm; with beautifully soft light and warm weather.
While editing these photos, it was impossible not to grin and sigh at this authentic and beautiful family of four. With a two and four year old, it was near impossible to get the "perfect shot" with all four looking and smiling at the camera, but honestly, how realistic would that be anyway?
The perfect shot is a mom and a dad looking for bugs with their children.
The perfect shot is throwing your son high into the air. The perfect shot is pretending to be scared when your daughter yells, "BOO!" just to see her giggle.
This family? They are perfect. They embody the reason I love to do what I do.

Alphonse & Courtney
When you are a photographer, referrals are E V E R Y T H I N G. I met Alphonse and Courtney through Courtney's mom, Dawn, who happened to be at the wedding I photographed back in April. Seven months and a whole lot of love later, Dawn introduced me to her daughter for a beautifully gorgeous Rhode Island Autumn photoshoot. Alphonse and Courtney are in the process of building their own business, K9 Positive training, so they made sure to include their two best buds, Ace and Krypto. It was THE PERFECT day to share some love!

And So Begins The Rest of Her (and their) Lives.
I had the privilege of doing a maternity shoot for Patrick and JoAnna back July. Two months and a beautiful baby girl later, it was time to celebrate a brand new little: Lucy. This baby girl was a champ during her two hour photoshoot, making sure to get her beauty rest when needed as well as effectively communicating when she was hungry. Overall, baby, mama, and papa simply glowed. Love was so intensely radiant and you can see it in the pictures.

Their Greatest Adventure.
This shoot was absolutely one for the books. The location was stunning, the light was to die for, and don't even get me STARTED on the love that was radiating off of these two! I had the privilege of meeting JoAnna and Patrick through church nearly two years ago. Right off the bat, I thought they made for a super beautiful, hip, and funky couple. JoAnna is a high school math teacher, and Patrick is a philosophy doctorate candidate at UMass, so having conversations with them leaves you with an enthusiasm to bring about change for the better.
I had wanted to expand my portfolio to Maternity Shoots for the longest time, so when JoAnna and Patrick announced that they had a little one on the way, I jumped on it! This precious little girl has been a long awaited joy, so I thought a photoshoot would be a nice celebration.
Let me know your thoughts by commenting, or share this post with someone who needs a smile! Looking through these reminds me that love in it's purest form is alive and well.

Two Years Down, A Lifetime to Go....
These two have always had an extremely special place in my heart. I met them Austin and Isabelle before they were dating, saw them through their years of long distance, and even had the privilege of being in their wedding. With Isabelle being a Mt. Holyoke alum and Austin a UMass alum, it was a match made in Pioneer Valley heaven. Every year for their anniversary, I give them a free photo-shoot, and every year I marvel at how their love just keeps on growing. So, here's to a lifetime of more memories, love, and laughter. Happy 2nd anniversary you two!

All The Little Faces
I can sincerely say there is nothing I find more adorable and breathtaking than a kid smiling.
I actually lied. Pizza is pretty breathtaking, but I think that the world as a whole can write that off as an obvious given and just go from there.
Anyway, I have reached a point in my life where it seems like all of my friends seems to have little ones either in the way, or on the way. So naturally, with any social gatherings that I bring my camera to lately, I walk away completely forgetting to capture my friends and their interactions. However, the giant plus is that I come home to a card-full of photos of small hands and feet, little smiles, and the teensiest hints of smirks and sass.
Obviously, I must share.

Love & Eric Carle: The Perfect Marriage // April 2, 2016
It was a day full of surprises for my very first wedding to say the least. True to the New England style, the forecast for the day kept switching on and off between down-pouring rain and blinding sun. Thankfully, we were all able to get the pictures when it was dry out, and with the vibrant colors and shapes that the Eric Carle Museum had to offer, photographing here was a dream. Couldn't have done it without the help of my second, Eric Lee of Eric Lee Photography.
